Chapter Twenty Eight: Things to highlight/make note of:
While Scout and Jem are walking to the school, Cecil Jacobs jumps out and scares them
Scout and Jem have a good time at booths at the Halloween pageant
Scout falls asleep, misses her cue, and comes on stage at the wrong time - Mrs. Merriweather tells her she ruined the pageant
Scout leaves her ham costume on to walk home but forgets her shoes
The kids hear a noise and at first think it's Cecil again
It turns out to be Bob Ewell, who attacks them
A man comes out of the shadows and carries Jem home
When Scout gets home, she is flustered and thinks Jem is dead
Jem has a broken arm, and Sheriff Tate comes with the doctor
The chapter ends with the news that Bob Ewell is dead with a kitchen knife sticking out of his ribs
